Go!Punchi is the app of a company that designs and prints wristbands for events. The problem it solves is a classic at the door: the same wristband used more than once to get in. By scanning the QR or barcode, security staff can tell in seconds whether the wristband is genuine and whether it has already been used to enter.
The key requirement was technical: at events, connectivity often fails, so the app works 100% offline. Validation does not depend on the signal — it depends on the app.
The business model goes with it: the company sells its wristbands and gives each client access to the app for their security staff. The software became part of the product they sell.

On the biggest obstacle before the system:
“In event production some people stick to the traditional way and others try new technology to keep up. Since we make and print tickets and wristbands, we built a hybrid: technology on top of the traditional, without forcing anyone to pick one or the other.”
